Hi ! My name is Cécile Laye. I studied historical dances in England with The Dolmetsch Historical Dance Society, Nonsuch History and Dance and EFDSS with famous teachers. I also studied in France with Francine Lancelot, Andrea Francalanci and Barbara Sparti. In 1998, I founded CHESTNUT to promote in France the large repertoire of English figure dances seen in its historical European context.
